Still Photography
Photography
Sébastien began photography at 12, borrowing money from his father to buy a used 35mm Minolta Maxxum 7000 with a 28–85mm lens — his only setup for years, which he repaid through household work. What drew him in was the ability to frame a smaller world within a larger one, and to preserve it through photography's sense of time. As his eye developed, he gravitated toward black-and-white film in both 35mm and 120 formats, processing it himself at home. For him, black and white carries a lasting sense of timelessness — images feel as if they were made just moments ago.
